Talk us through an average working day…


Every day is different, it starts quite early with a strong coffee then a team meeting so that everyone is up to speed on the cases.  Depending on the volume of calls and the amount of brokers making contact I can be on the phone or chasing cases, admin or talking with the underwriters about getting more cases from their brokers.  On another day I can be out of the office visiting brokers or attending the auctions.


What do you enjoy the most about your job?


Talking to people and making the cases happen


What are the downsides of the job?


The pressure to hit the deadline when everyone is not doing their best to get it through and being given wrong information about dates in the first instance.


What have you learnt during your time at Apex Bridging?


Bridging is very different to a mortgage and the brokers are quite different, lots of different scenarios come into play which adds to the complicated nature of learning the business.



What skills do you think are important in your job?


An understanding of the market and people’s circumstances, common sense (if it looks too good to be true then it probably is).  An ability to talk to brokers, applicants, surveyors, lawyers etc.
